Gripping from beginning to end.

So now that I have a week left of freedom, I pretty much did everything I wanted to do for my two weeks off for "winter vacation" until New Years Eve of course. I had a wonderful Christmas with my best friend that consisted of good food, alcohol, good company, Guitar Hero, alcohol, Guitar Hero and alcohol. In that order. I love how I went from trashy to classy in a matter of days. One day it was hard liquor, the next day it was wine. It's so strange how wine varies in tastes. Sometimes it tastes like straight alcohol, and other times it tastes like apple cider. Maybe I was duped? Anyways, the whole point of this blog was to talk about how since I'm off, maybe I should occupy my time with a book until New Years Eve. When I started my Freshmen year of college I tried the whole reading for fun thing in between classes and it worked out just fine. I'm not sure how it happened, but as I advanced in school all of that kind of faded away. The last book I read for fun was The Truth About Diamonds by Nicole Richie. I know, completely mindless, but mindless reading can sometimes be good. And it actually was a really good book. It was funny. Cheeky. Unlike many other celebrities, I actually believe she wrote this book by herself because she literally wrote how she spoke. Anyways, I turned my room upside down looking for that paperback book. I then remembered I lent the book to a friend that I no longer speak to. There's absolutely no way I'm getting that book back, so now I'm going on a frantic search to see if I could read it somewhere online. There has to be a website. If anyone knows of one drop it in my comments! Or if you happen to have the book, let me borrow! I'm so annoyed with my laptop right now. I have to hold the charger in the right angle in order for it to charge. VERY annoying. So anyways, I've been reading a lot of year end count downs online regarding entertainment and it seems as though every critic agrees with how boring entertainment has been this year. It was a very long year, and truth be told i can't even remember any events that happened before August, but reading those count downs really did remind me how much of a dud entertainment was this year. The Dark Knight was a stand out hit for all of the count downs that I read, but I didn't even see that. A little side note: I read that 2009 will see zero super hero movies. That's odd given the fact that they've been thrown in our faces every summer since like 2003, or whenever the first Spider Man came out. I've had it up to here with reality shows and "entertainment". Hopefully things will be more eventful in '09. But until then I'll be searching the web for The Truth About Diamonds.

We're one in the same, so you're just as strong as me.

Today was one of the most rewarding days I've had in a long time. I'm not too into Christmas or the holiday season, but this year I felt like it was most important to give rather to recieve. All year long I buy what I want, but there are some people that can't even do that. People that look just like me. Today I saw first hand that I could very well be someone in need of so much in life. Today me and my ma went to a church to help give away free groceries. It took me a while to really understand the concept though. I was about 45 minutes into bagging the groceries when I realized, "Oh, we're not giving them one meal today, we're giving them groceries." Slow I know, but the concept is something that I've never heard of nor witnessed. All in all I had such a good day despite nearly severing my finger off and bleeding all over the place (luckily no blood touched the food). All the blood on my Ed Hardy sweater and my Rock & Republic jeans meant absolutely nothing because these people were so grateful for a free winter scarf. In other news..I've randomly been dog sitting for a week now. Check out Rotti in his little faux fur animal friendly hoodie ;D

If I only had a brain.

Oy, I should have surgically removed that brain and implanted it within my skull when I had the opportunity. This is going to be a stomach ache. >=\
